About Chad

Chad Fjelland is the attorney behind Fjelland Law, Prof. LLC, a law practice in Clark, South Dakota. He is a fourth-generation South Dakota family farmer, and that background shapes how he practices: he knows what a quarter of ground means to the family that owns it, and he knows the practical side of FSA programs, CRP contracts, and farm leases because he lives with them too.

More than a law office

In addition to practicing law, Chad holds a South Dakota real estate broker license, is a licensed abstractor, and is co-owner of Clark Abstract and Title Company. For clients, that means a land sale, estate, or family business transition can be handled by one office instead of being passed between a lawyer, a broker, and a title company.

Public service

Chad serves as the Clark County State's Attorney alongside his private practice. That work has given him a deep working knowledge of county and municipal government, zoning, and the South Dakota statutes that local boards rely on.
